Abhivyakti is committed to providing safe and congenial working environment to its employees (regular or contractual or volunteers). The safe working environment, in addition to other aspects, includes work place free of sexual harassment. This commitment translates into formulation of Sexual Harassment Prevention and Mitigation Policy which is described in subsequent paragraphs. This policy has been drafted following discussions by the Working Group at Abhivyakti Media for Development formed by the Director, as a commitment to implement the Supreme Court guidelines (1997) in relation to prevention and mitigation of sexual harassment at workplace.

Rules & Regulation of Services of the Staff of Abhivyakti Media for Development.

The rules and policies stated herein are to protect the autonomy of all employees as individuals, whilst making it humanly possible to function as an organisation. This policy rests on the principles of self- regulation and monitoring while allowing all employees to be regulated and monitored by people appointed by Abhivyakti, though maintaining the right to recall their representatives in case of any undemocratic functioning.
